Red or green? That's the question. As the state question of New Mexico, it refers to the color of chiles--when ordering enchiladas, for example. Chiles are green, of course, until they fully ripen to red. (Like tomatoes.) They're edible either way, but with a different flavor. The right answer is red AND green--one of each.

Red or green? It can also be a political question. It's really more interesting that way. And the right answer to this question? Green, to some, already implies red...
